Red Ribbon Club [RRC]

The Red Ribbon Club (RRC) is a youth club program initiated by the Tamil Nadu State AIDS Control Society (TANSACS) to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS among young people. Operating in colleges and universities, we engage students aged 17-25 in activities that prevent HIV/AIDS spread and reduce stigma.

Our Mission

To engage youth in HIV/AIDS prevention, reduce stigma and discrimination, promote voluntary blood donation, and create a supportive environment for people living with HIV/AIDS through peer education and community outreach.

Our Vision

To create an AIDS-free generation where young people are empowered with knowledge, compassion, and action to prevent HIV transmission and support those affected by HIV/AIDS.

Testing & Counseling

Promote early detection and treatment through testing and counseling sessions

Visits to ICTC, STI clinics, ART centers, Blood Banks, and HIV Community Centers for practical understanding.

Blood Donation Drives

Organizing voluntary blood donation camps and promoting regular blood donation.

Peer Education Programs

Training students to become peer educators who can effectively spread awareness.

Street Plays & Skits

Using performing arts to communicate important messages about HIV/AIDS prevention.

Counseling Sessions

Providing confidential counseling and support for students with questions or concerns.
