A dedicated Research & Development Discussion Board (RDDB) of Indra Ganesan College of Engineering (IGCE) serves as the driving force behind fostering a culture of innovation, exploration, and academic excellence within an institution.
At IGCE, our RDDB is committed to nurturing a conducive environment for cutting-edge research, interdisciplinary collaborations, and technological breakthroughs.
Mission: The primary mission of the RDDB at IGCE is to facilitate and promote high-quality research endeavours across various engineering disciplines. Our aim is to encourage faculty members, researchers and students to engage in innovative projects, contribute to the advancement of knowledge and address real-world challenges through scientific inquiry and technological innovation.
Major research grants and funding initiatives secured by the institution
A grant of ₹1.40 Lakhs was sanctioned by the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF) to organize a Two-Day International Conference at the institution.
ANRFA research project titled "Advanced Detection of Microplastics Using Carbon Nanoparticle-Enhanced Microfilms" received ₹4.80 Lakhs from TNSCST for a duration of two years.
TNSCSTThe institution secured ₹22.50 Lakhs from StartupTN for establishing a Pre-Incubation Centre, promoting innovation, entrepreneurship, and startup development among students and faculty.
StartupTNUnder the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA) Scheme, a seed fund of ₹50,000 was sanctioned to support household surveys and rural development initiatives in the five villages adopted by the institution.
