Dr.G Balakrishnan is the Director of Indra Ganesan College of Engineering (IGCE).

The salient highlights of the Director are as follows:

• B.E., M.E. degrees from reputed Indian Universities and Ph.D. from University of Malaysian Sabah and specialized in Computer Science and Engineering.

• 20 years of professional experience that includes teaching, research and administration.

• Published more than 100 research articles in National and International Journals and Conferences.

• Recipient of “Young Scientist” award from Department of Science and Technology (DST) in 2013.

• Devised navigation system for blind community.

• Successfully completed funded project from Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB)

• Received travel grant from Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB)

• Attended more than 50 seminars and workshops

• Recognized research supervisor in Anna University, Chennai

• Produced 11 Ph.D degree holders and 5 are pursuing at present

• Doctoral committee member for research scholars

• Active member in Indian Red Cross and Rotary Club of Tiruchirappalli Elite.
